Nestlé Creates Awareness With Virtual Gut Microbiome Day 2022

Nestle took the initiative to host Gut Microbiome Day 2022 to create awareness about probiotics and bring medical professionals from around the world to share their insights and knowledge about the topic.

The Challenge

Find a virtual events platform that would help create awareness about probiotics and the science behind Nestle’s products while being user-friendly, super interactive, and practical for the attendees.

What is Gut Microbiome Day?

Virtual Gut Microbiome Day is an event that gives medical professionals the opportunity to talk and create awareness about probiotics and the science within. Nestle Nutrition Institute (NNI) had hosted this event keeping in mind how important it is to share knowledge and insights about the importance of microbes across the world.

This event was primarily arranged for medical doctors, nurses, midwives, pediatricians, and other medical professionals. It was focused on giving Nestle’s products a medical audience, helping the medical professionals understand how microbiome could help them with their daily practice, and resolve most of the issues that their patients were facing.

For Nestle, the event gave them an opportunity to share their product ingredients, the benefits they come with, and how their products can make a difference. This event not only increased the recommendation of Nestle’s products but also helped them gain confidence from the doctors on their panel.

This event had around 2000 registrations and more than 800 attendees which is a great number keeping in mind how events are slowly moving back towards on-site and hybrid events.

Why vFairs?

Nestle Nutrition Institute (NNI) hosted their virtual gut microbiome day with vFairs in June 2022. Anne Marie from Nestle had talked about how much they had enjoyed hosting their Gut Microbiome Day with vFairs last year. For this year, they knew they had no reason to look for any other option considering how successful their virtual event was last year.

Their attendees last year had particularly enjoyed how easy to use, and navigate the platform was, and the numerous networking opportunities it had to offer. We were excited to have them back and made sure they had an even better experience than last year. Therefore, there were no second thoughts about vFairs.

Features That Made a Difference

The Nestle gut microbiome event was a successful one. Here are some features of the event that made it stand out and were the reason behind the event’s success:

Immersive 3D Environment

Nestle Gut Microbiome Day

This virtual event was a great opportunity to bring together likeminded people and discuss the role gut microbiome plays in many aspects of health including immunity, metabolic and neurobehavioral.

NNI and their attendees truly appreciated how immersive the vFairs platform was. The 3D elements did give the event the real feel when it was very much needed after Covid.

Since this was their second event with vFairs, it was particularly important to give them a more wholesome experience. Anne Marie from Nestle, particularly mentioned: “From last year, the technology was better, and graphics were improved.”

Customer Service

When it comes to customer service, vFairs outshines its competitors. NNI really appreciated how responsive the vFairs project and customer service team has been throughout the process, even after the event.

Annie Marie from NNI quoted, ‘vFairs team was very responsive, great, and solved glitches in time. Everything went super smooth.”

Engagement

The hosts particularly applauded vFairs for the immersive and super interactive engagement features offered. NNI had a very informative live Q&A session with the speakers and attendees. Trivia games were the highlight of the event.

NNII had hosted two webinars based on gut health and the speakers were great professionals from Italy and Switzerland.

Multilingual Webinars

Nestle Gut Microbiome Day

Multilingual webinars were not offered until last year. This year, vFairs multilingual webinars were the star of the show. vFairs as an organizer understands how important it is to give your attendees the ability to enjoy webinars in their own respective language.

English is not spoken by many people around the world. To make webinars more understandable and enjoyable, vFairs offered NNI a few options to choose from.

Since NNI’s attendees were mostly from Mexico, they chose to have webinars translated in Spanish for them. Sessions were pre-recorded and were available 30 days after the event for all the attendees.

In the Spotlight: Powerful Mobile Event App

We understand that medical professionals barely have the time to attend long events or listen to webinars within their super hectic schedule. Therefore, we offered NNI the option to give their attendees an event that was responsive on mobile.  At vFairs, we make sure your attendees get the best event experience.

Anne Marie from NNI mentioned, “The introduction of the mobile app changed the way people would attend virtual events.”

Results

Gut Microbiome Day proved to be a successful event and a great learning experience for all the attendees and speakers alike. The webinars were super informative and the technology responded to the needs of the attendees.
