Beauty Bulb Live transformed the traditional beauty industry event model as the first fully virtual beauty and wellness trade show. The event brought together over 100 brands and 200 global retailers over 24-hours in an immersive online experience. Beauty Bulb Live facilitated networking amongst professionals, and learning development through expert-led webinars. The virtual format facilitated high participation by eliminating barriers to attendance, such as travel and cost.

Typical beauty industry tradeshows require exhibitors to spend anywhere from £5,000 to £50,000 on participation fees alone. This puts smaller and emerging brands at a disadvantage, creating an uneven playing field that favored only established companies with substantial marketing budgets. Beauty Bulb needed a more affordable solution.
The beauty industry’s international tradeshow circuit required hundreds of participants to fly globally multiple times per year, generating substantial carbon emissions. This requirement to travel can result in high costs for participants and high carbon output. Beauty Bulb sought to create an event that eliminated these impacts.
With attendees and exhibitors spread across different regions, coordinating a live event that worked for everyone was a major hurdle. Connecting brands and retailers worldwide usually requires complex logistics and timing compromises. Attendees could explore booths, join webinars, and network via chat functions at their convenience. This eliminated the need for international travel while ensuring maximum participation across global markets.
Beauty Bulb leveraged vFairs’ robust suite of communication tools including real-time chat functions, allowing over 8,000 messages to be exchanged between brands and retailers. The platform also supported 15 expert-led webinar sessions on crucial industry topics ranging from mental health in the workplace to marketing strategies, enhancing the educational value of the event.
