LASHCON is the world’s largest lash artist event with over 1000 attendees; over 5x attendance compared to other industry events. The event also features 70+ educational classes, hosts 90+ exhibitors, and maintains an impressive NPS score above 70. Most lash artists work in isolation, lacking opportunities to connect with peers. The LASHCON conference is a way for lash artists to network and build relationships in their industry. The event needed a tool which helped facilitate networking between onsite and virtual participants at scale.
Lash artists regularly rely on social media content to improve their craft through quick tips and tricks. This creates knowledge gaps for artists who crave more comprehensive business and technical training. LASHCON was in search of a solution to deliver deeper educational content to participants while reducing logistical challenges that a multi-day, multi-track program creates.
LASHCON welcomed many first-time exhibitors who needed guidance to stand out and connect with attendees. In order to platform vendors, LASHCON’s team needed an easy-to-use tool paired with support and resources to help them make a splash during the event.
vFairs offered an all-in-one solution, offering LashCast a seamless combination of in-person and virtual elements to reach a global audience. They were able to launch their mobile app and virtual event 2-3 weeks before the event, encouraging early attendee engagement, and allowing participants to browse the event to understand what to expect beforehand.
The LashCast team ran special networking activities pre-, during- and post-event. This included their roommate exchange, hosted on Facebook in the weeks prior to the event, a “Party for One” meetup, a structured lunch buddy program, and a social media wall hosted through the event app and virtual platform. These activities ensured every attendee had a chance to form meaningful connections with other attendees, regardless if they attended onsite or online.
LASHCON hosted over 70 educational presentations over the course of 3 days. The sessions were easily managed through vFairs’ session management system. Of these sessions, 40 were recorded and published in the virtual platform and mobile app, along with supplementary learning materials, for attendees to access on-demand post-event.
vFairs offered easy-to-use booth setup tools, pre-event coaching sessions and resources to help both first-timers and experienced exhibitors maximize their impact at the trade show. The vFairs platform facilitated seamless exhibitor-attendee interactions, helping brands easily connect with potential customers throughout the duration of the event.
Unlike other event platforms, vFairs offered a flexible solution that supported LASHCON’s creative community-building initiatives while also providing tools that fostered business growth and education for exhibitors and attendees. The platform’s flexibility allowed LashCast to scale the event while maintaining an intimate, community-driven atmosphere.
The vFairs event app played a crucial role in LASHCON’s success, allowing attendees to connect weeks before the event, access session replays, and engage with exhibitors effortlessly. By releasing the app 2-3 weeks prior to the event, attendees began forming connections through the social wall feature, creating a sense of community that extended beyond the four-day gathering. This proactive networking approach ensured that every attendee felt welcomed and included from day one.
During the event, the app served as a central hub for scheduling, navigation, and continued social interaction. The ability to access 40 recorded sessions through the app after the event concluded provided ongoing value to attendees.
