vFairs Mobile App Updates to Enhance Attendee Experience

The vFairs mobile app you know and love just got better. We have made some additions to our suite of features that can help you make your events even better for your attendees. You can truly enhance their experience with our best-in-class event mobile app that offers all new networking, productivity, and user experience enhancements. 

Let’s dig deeper into each of our new feature updates and find out what they can do for you and your attendees.

1. Notifications Panel

Through the notifications panel, attendees will be able to access all the latest updates about the event like sessions, panel discussions, or other live updates. Organizers can use the new feature to make sure that the attendees never miss an update from you!

The mobile app’s push notifications will now show up in chronological order in the notifications panel. The notification panel will show up in the top right bar of the mobile screen as a bell icon. 

2. Attendee-to-Attendee Meetings

You can make networking a breeze for your attendees with the new Attendee-to-Attendee Meetings feature enhancement. Attendees can book a chat slot for a meeting with other attendees at the event with just a few clicks.

Attendees will be able to add availability for meeting slots at the time of registration through the same form. Then, when the event is live, they can select another attendee from a list and book a meeting slot with them.

3. My Event Calendar

My Event Calendar makes planning the day easy and attendees will be able to make the best out of the event. The easy-to-use and smart calendar interface makes sure that everything is crystal clear and nothing important gets missed.

If you want to make it easy for attendees at your event to plan their day, then you can add the My Event Calendar feature. Attendees will be able to view the schedule for their entire day and switch tabs to view Sessions and Bookmarked booths. 

4. What’s Happening Center (WHC)

The WHC is where your attendees will be notified of all the upcoming sessions, event updates, highlights, and popular booths and sessions at the event. It can enable you to notify attendees of any important live updates and make sure that a booth doesn’t go unnoticed. 

5. Sponsor Hub

As an organizer, you will want to offer dedicated real estate and visibility to your attendees. That is now possible with the Sponsor Hub in the vFairs mobile app. You can create different sponsor groups from the backend such as Gold, Silver, and Platinum sponsors. Then, adding sponsors to the relevant category or group is an easy process.

The Sponsor Hub shows up as a separate tile on the main app menu screen. Attendees can click on each sponsor’s logo to find more information about the sponsor.

6. Session & Poster Rating

Getting feedback from attendees for posters and sessions at the event can be easy with the rating feature. A pop-up with a few simple questions will show up after each session and attendees can fill it out. Organizers can get direct feedback and figure out which sessions and posters are most liked by attendees at their event and also use it to develop better content in the future. 

7. Direct to Private Chat

Tech support or general help chat boxes are vital for making your event a smooth-running operation for your attendees. Now, you can add a direct-to-private chat tile on the main app menu that can take them directly to a relevant organizer rep through just one tap. It makes it much easier for attendees to get immediate and relevant help at any time during the event.

8. Bookmarks 

Bookmarks can be an easy way for attendees to collect and organize all the pieces of content, booths, products, jobs, or sessions that they’ll most likely want to revisit. The vFairs app allows attendees to add items to their bookmarks with a single tap on the ribbon icon they’ll see right next to it. 

Attendees can access all of their bookmarked items in one place through the My Events Calendar tab on the main app menu.

9. Connection Request

You can now provide attendees control over who they want to share their contact information with. Connection requests work similarly to follower requests on social media and allow attendees to have a level of privacy with their contact information. It also makes adding people to your network easier as you can search for them through their names and send them a connection request.

Attendees will receive connection requests from others in a list and can approve or deny requests as per their liking. Their contact information will only be shared with the users whose requests they’ve approved.

10. User Segmentation Rules 

Organizers can make personalized experiences for different user segments or groups through the vFairs app. This is an amazing feature to create segmented email campaigns for curated lists. Organizers can also show or hide a specific feature (sessions, booths, etc.) only to a certain user segment and gate the content that they want.  

You can create user segments from all attendees with curated segment rules, similar to the vFairs web platform. Then, use these segments to control feature access for various segments. For example, you can choose to hide a session from all users except the VIP pass holders.

Moreover, we have a specific segment rule for QR codes just for the mobile app now. This segment rule will allow organizers to show or hide the QR code for specific attendees. 

11. Targeted Notifications

Reducing irrelevant notifications from your attendees’ notification panel can greatly improve their overall event experience. Moreover, it is also a fantastic way to create more personalized experiences for all mobile app users at your event.  

Organizers can now send notifications only to specific attendees through the mobile app. For instance, you want to send out a notification that a session is about to start only to the attendees who have registered for it. You can now do that easily with the vFairs mobile app backend! Send notifications by selecting entire groups/segments or one or more attendees through email addresses or names. 

12. Profile Picture

Make virtual networking much better for your attendees by allowing them to upload their profile picture and update it whenever they want. It doesn’t matter if they added a picture at the time of registration or not. Attendees can now simply go to their profiles in the mobile app and upload a picture whenever they want.
