Mitel User Group 6th Annual Virtual Event Showcases Mitel’s Products & Services With Array of vfairs Features

The Mitel User Group held its 6th Annual Virtual Event on the 19th of May, 2022. This event showcased Mitel’s products and services to its users, who were quite satisfied with the proceedings. 

What is the Mitel User Group?

The Mitel User Group is a customer-led non-profit  initiative which operates independently of Mitel. It is a community of over 9,000  customers, parenters, and Mitel employees which work together for networking, knowledge sharing, and other aspects related to Mitel’s products and services. This global group was formed in 2016, and is one of Mitel’s most valuable partners. It has had an annual virtual event since its inception, and this was the 6th edition of this event. 

Why vFairs?

The group has been using vFairs for its virtual events ever since it started to host them. It was one of the pioneers of virtual events, and recognized their potential well before the pandemic was even in the picture. The Mitel User Group Board of DIrectors are passionate about  serving their global community, and ensuring  it is a focus to connect together in one place. Hence, it decided to stick with the virtual route. This was in line with the group’s telecommunications industry, with a focus on accessibility and convenient communication. 

They chose vFairs because their association management company, the Innovatis Group, used its solutions. The Mitel User Group Board of DIrectors saw the value of the features and solutions they saw vFairs offered, and started its continuing journey with the event platform. 

Mitel User Group 6th Annual Virtual Event Details

This was the sixth edition of the Mitel user Group’s annual virtual event. It had a successful run in its previous events, and was committed to accommodating its members on a global level. Therefore, the organizers left the event up after it went live for 30 days to get the most traction and involve as many visitors as possible. They used a variety of excellent vFairs features to make the event as engaging and useful as possible. 

Webinars

The event had multiple live sessions in the auditorium. These covered company strategies, product updates, and various trending discussions. Visitors could sit in on these discussions, and get all the information they need. In addition, they could also get their queries answered in these sessions, which were also made available on demand. 

Networking Features

Networking was one of the main goals of this conference. Therefore, the hosts incorporated a number of networking and chat features. These included a solutions hub, matchmaking options, product expert panels, and more. This meant that visitors could get the information they needed in a targeted manner, and talk to their chosen peer groups or industry experts. 

Gamification 

The hosts also included gamification features to keep visitors engaged. They had a scavenger hunt, with achievements recorded on a leaderboard. This proved to gain quite some traction, and the organizers plan to utilize these features to drive visitors to important event areas. 

Exhibit Hall 

The Mitel User Group has a long-running relationship with many of its exhibitors and sponsors. Therefore, these exhibitors had their booths in the exhibit hall to showcase what they had to offer, and interact with the visitors. They also had ample resources at hand which the visitors could save in their virtual swag bags.  

In the Spotlight:Training Center

Apart from the run-of-the-mill virtual event features, the hosts had a  section set up as a training center. This center had a variety of courses for Mitel products and services. When visitors entered this training center, they could join the company’s LMS, and access these courses to enhance their knowledge and expertise. 

This particular feature was quite unique and proved to be a hit with visitors. They appreciated the opportunity for the in-depth knowledge in the training center, with specific courses for various products. 

Results

As with its other events, the 6th Annual Virtual Event of the Mitel User Group was a great platform for the community to get together and discuss trends, concerns, and updates. Rebecca Ruhlman, Senior Client Experience Manager at Innovatis Group stated, “As networking is a key benefit of being in the user group, we liked the live ability to connect, the matchmaking features, and the integrated live meeting portion of the day that we co-hosted with Mitel directly. Experiences like these reiterate the value of the user community – allowing Mitel to engage directly with their customers and their customers being able to consume new content and form relationships with their fellow peers.” 

This, among other examples of positive feedback from the hosts and participants showed that the event was successful, and once again, brought together the global Mitel User Group community.
