California Center on Teaching Careers (CCTC) to Host a Virtual Job Fair for Combatting Teacher Shortage, Powered by vFairs

The Virtual PK-12 Classified & Substitute Educational Employment Fair is tailored toward the education industry to help school districts, charter schools, colleges, and universities fill job vacancies.

Visalia, CA California Center on Teaching Careers (CCTC), which is housed at the Tulare County Office of Education, is hosting a virtual job fair on May 11, 2023, from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. (PDT). Interested candidates and education agencies can attend the event by registering online here.

The Virtual PK-12 Classified & Substitute Educational Employment Fair is an excellent opportunity for professionals to connect with education agencies working across California. The event aims to target a wide pool of talent between the ages 18-65 that are looking for substitute teaching jobs as well as non-teaching staff positions.

“The mission of the Center is to elevate the teaching profession by attracting new and existing talent to impact teaching and learning in California’s 21st Century classrooms,” said Marvin Lopez, Executive Director of CCTC.

Candidates can meet with recruiters from different education agencies during the event and submit resumes for positions they see fit. The recruiters will also have the ability to chat with professionals via text, audio, and video to respond to queries or expand on job requirements. Candidates and agencies would be able to access the event through vFairs’ virtual event platform.

“We are very happy to provide the necessary technology to assist in hosting job fairs for finding teaching and non-teaching professionals within the education sector,” says Muhammad Younas, CEO of vFairs.

CCTC runs various events every year. This will be the seventh job fair that CCTC will be hosting in 2023. Those interested in attending events or staying updated about upcoming events can also join the organization’s mailing list here.

Registrations for the event in May are open. Find the details here.
