The virtual symposium will act as a platform for experts in the fields of functional medicine, education, communication, brain development, and workforce for neurodiverse individuals to share their thoughts and ideas.

Edison, NJ – The Akhil Autism Foundation is all set to host the Global Virtual Neurodiverse Symposium. The event will take place from 17th to 19th April, 2023 and will be hosted through the vFairs event platform. Anyone interested in attending the event can register here.

The concept of neurodiversity recognizes and celebrates the different variations of the human brain and its function. Akhil Autism Foundation has helped over 5,000 families with over 1,000 educational hours and secured $80,000 in school grants from Virginia University and Rutgers. Their database reaches over 30k caregivers of neurodiverse individuals. The virtual symposium also aims to empower neurodiverse individuals, their caregivers, and their families with the right knowledge and tools.

Key speakers include Dr. Temple Grandin, Dr. James Neuenschwander, and Dr. Svetlana Masgutova and Elizabeth Bonker to name a few. Attendees will be able to listen to their experiences, insights and have  hands-on access to their research.

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with experts and get their advice on learning about the latest forms of intervention resources. They will also be able  to connect to their fellow neurodiverse peers, their families, and others in the community. Cost per family is $25.00 US dollars per day and $50.00 US dollars for all three (3) days.

“vFairs is proud to provide a virtual event platform to The Akhil Autism Foundation that boosts individual acceptance and inclusivity at all levels of the organization,” said Muhammad Younas, CEO of vFairs.

About The Akhil Autism Foundation

In 2002, Manisha and Mahesh Lad’s only son, Akhil, was diagnosed with Autism at only 18 months. While this news was hard to digest at first, the parents did not waste any time in despair and instead completely devoted themselves to providing Akhil with the most suitable treatments available in the United States. In March 2017 Akhil participated in an Autism Savant study with Dr. Daine Powell, Neuroscientists, which excited Dr. Deepak Chopra to meet him and say, “Akhil is a Genius.” He is now minimally verbal, taking an Associate Science degree at Rowan College of South Jersey. This drove our passion to help families that are on the same journey to help either their children or loved ones diagnosed with Autism.

The Akhil Autism Foundation aims to provide a clear path forward by offering scientifically validated therapies resources and assistive technologies that are personalized for each autistic child.

With customized support, the foundation endeavors to improve the quality of life and educational opportunities for autistic individuals.

The foundation’s tailored programs and events, in collaboration with experts from various fields such as biomedical, sensory integration, reflex integration, communication, education, and nutrition, provide comprehensive education and treatment options. Caregivers also have access to a broad network of speech therapists, occupational therapists, and healthcare professionals.

The Akhil Autism Foundation’s goal is to empower autistic individuals to attain greater independence. The foundation’s team works tirelessly towards this goal.
