I remember thinking that these stories wouldn’t mean anything to anyone outside of the 100 or so people that were investigating QIS when I first got involved, but now it’s being talked about in presidential addresses,” said Andrew Houck, Director of Co-design Center for Quantum Advantage (C2QA).
What sets this event apart is its collaborative nature. It is a joint initiative between the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science funded National Quantum Information Science Research Centers (NQISRCs). This collaboration brings together a multitude of experts in this up-and-coming scientific field, offering participants a comprehensive view of the QIS landscape.
Last year’s event was a resounding success, drawing in nearly 1,000 registrants, with 27 percent undergraduates, 39 percent graduate students, and 10 percent postdocs in attendance.
