The European MBA Virtual Career Fair brought together 7 top business schools to host a collective career fair for their graduates in order to encourage placements, facilitate networking, and overall allow employers to explore the talent being offered in a convenient virtual environment.
This collaboration of the 7 business schools (Aston Business School- Birmingham, Lancaster University Management School, EMLYON Business School, Grenoble Ecole De Management, Eada Careers, UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, and Polytechnic University of Milan) has been a very unique initiative made possible through the team at vFairs. With the objective of promoting their talents and allowing graduating MBA students to compete with access to equal opportunities, our vFair’s technology streamlined career fair hosting and management, meanwhile enabling a large volume of employers and students to connect with each other.
The event had a dedicated “Auditorium” where employers had the ability to host webinars. This capability was utilized to provide company overviews, introductions to the organization’s culture, host presentations, meanwhile delivering an open platform for job seekers to ask questions and get focused responses in an easy, interactive, and efficient manner.
Using the information gathered from the event’s registration forms, job seekers had their profiles added to a dedicated database that the 15 exhibiting employers could sort through based on search criterias of their preference. This allowed them to short list aspiring candidates with absolute precision based on selected filters, meanwhile also empowering them to have on the spot interviews, screening sessions, and associated communications through both text and video chat capabilities.
The registration form for the event was structured to further support employer/exhibitor needs; MBA graduates interested in attending the event had to provide nationality, average professional experience in terms of years, language proficiencies, educational background, work sector and job related exposure focused details (in addition to other information) to ensure precise placements and talent search.
Employers could also search for candidates based on business schools of their preference and view the CV search results, thus all the information needed to make recruitment decisions was made readily available through the vFair’s dynamic platform.
