SPIRIT LAKE, IA [July 2026] – The Organic Career Network (OCN), a project of the Organic Farmers Association (OFA), is excited to announce its upcoming Virtual Organic Job Fair, a national online event connecting job seekers with employers across the organic agriculture sector. The event will take place online on August 27, 2026. Attendance is free for job seekers, who can register here: https://organiccareernetwork.vfairs.com/en/registration-form. It’s free of charge for TOPP partner employers who will have at least one active job listing at the fair. Interested parties can submit their applications here.
This event is designed for organic agriculture professionals at every career stage, from students and emerging talent to experienced sector veterans. It’s especially relevant for technical assistance providers, outreach coordinators, and program staff whose roles have been supported by federal organic funding. Attendees will be able to submit resumes upon registration, browse open positions, ask questions, schedule interviews, and network with prospective employers, all from one accessible online space.
“The organic sector has invested years in building a skilled, mission-driven workforce,” said Kate Mendenhall, Executive Director of the Organic Farmers Association. “The Virtual Organic Job Fair is one way we’re working to keep that expertise connected to organic agriculture and to help farmers succeed.”
The event comes at a critical moment for the organic sector. The Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP), a significant source of federal funding for organic agriculture workforce development, is set to conclude at the end of 2026, putting hundreds of skilled professionals in transition.
What sets this fair apart is its role in preserving that hard-won expertise. It gives participating organizations a dedicated space to host virtual booths, showcase open roles ranging from internships to mid-career positions, and engage directly with candidates in real time. “Virtual events give sectors like organic agriculture a way to keep their workforce connected, even during periods of major transition,” said Muhammad Younas, CEO of vFairs. “We’re proud to support the Organic Career Network in helping skilled professionals find their next opportunity while keeping that expertise within the industry.”
The Organic Career Network (OCN) is a TOPP-funded initiative and a project of the Organic Farmers Association (OFA). OCN was created to strengthen and sustain the organic sector workforce by increasing awareness of organic career pathways, supporting workforce readiness, and improving access to employment-related resources. The network plays a central role in addressing current and emerging workforce needs in organic agriculture by connecting job seekers, students, and organic organizations nationwide.
Interested job seekers can register on the OCN website: www.OrganicCareerNetwork.org.
