A solid take-off for the world’s first Virtual Pilot Job Fair

Aero Crew Solutions, the leading provider of pilot job fair events in the aviation community, partnered with virtual event platform provider vFairs to bring together the first ever virtual job fair and networking event for current and future pilots.

vFairs constructed a dynamic virtual platform for Aero Crew Solutions who hosted the world’s first Virtual Job Fair for pilots on January 12, 2018. The virtual event was free for access to all job-seekers and they had the opportunity to talk directly to aviation recruiters, aviation university representatives and flight school/aviation organization representatives via chat, audio, and video conferences and resolve queries right from the source. Job-seekers were also be able to view the latest jobs and apply directly online through the user-friendly virtual job fair platform.

The objective behind this novel event was very much in line with that of Aero Crew Solutions where they aimed to help pilots achieve their career goals by connecting them with leading employers in an easily accessible digital landscape. Some of the employers that exhibited at the virtual job fair included Air Cargo Carriers, Allegiant Air, ExpressJet Airlines, FlexJet, Mesa Air Group, Silver Airways and SkyWest Airlines among 16 others.

The event was designed to be a lot more than a regular hiring event. It had all the tools and features to facilitate meaningful conversations, provide multiple avenues for networking and establish a platform for sharing career advice. Regarding the execution of these objectives, General Manager vFairs, Muhammad Younas says: 

“To provide ample tools to drive engagement at the virtual pilot job fair, we incorporated a group networking forum along with a webinar platform for employers to conduct sessions and engage with job-seekers in live Q&A discussions. All employer booths were enabled with one-to-one chats where queries could be resolved in real time. We’ve geared the event to be a hybrid job fair-networking platform that truly served everyone who attended it to the fullest.”

Virtual Pilot Job Fair was designed to be unique not only because it provided a platform for pilots and employers to connect but also because Aero Crew Solutions offered free career counseling to attendees at their own virtual booth and via webinars. As a result, the career fair saw:

• 205 registrations
• 764 total and 290 unique event visits
• 67 Average visits per booth

Also, to truly deliver on its objective of delivering value to job-seekers, the event remained open for access for 7 days after going live so that late attendees could easily absorb event resources and videos at their own pace.
