Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail is hosting JACT Inspire Virtual, an online career fair for youth development and mentorship, for middle school students in and around Tarrant County.
Fort Worth, TX – Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail is hosting a virtual career fair primarily for middle school students. JACT Inspire Virtual will take place on multiple dates with the first event happening on September 16, 2022. Anyone interested in the career fair can get more information and register here.
JACT Inspire Virtual is a key career development program for middle school students, who are at the precipice of making important career decisions for themselves as public school students in Texas must select a program of study (aka career endorsement) as part of their Graduation Plan before 8th grade.
Students can benefit from the virtual career fair by connecting with local industry leaders and the region’s most prominent employers. They can explore various career paths and learn which skills are most sought-after in the market. The event will also help them plan their high school pathway so they can focus on their academic interests with the right coursework.
Business owners, parents or guardians, community leaders, educators, and government officials can all join the event and help Junior Achievement guide young students to a career path that suits them. The virtual career fair has been brought to life by local business owners in and around Tarrant County. They will help students learn about certain career paths, explore their choices, and make informed decisions for their future.
The event has been growing ever since 2021 and has been a popular learning experience for JACT. The attendee count has doubled with each passing year with 2800 students in attendance in 2021 and almost 6000 in 2022. JACT is expecting to host over 15,000 students in the 2022-2023 school year.
