Join the BIT LA Job Fair and get a chance to meet recruiters from top tech companies in LA. Get a chance to apply for jobs and network with LA’s Black community.

Los Angeles, CA – African Americans pursuing a career in Technology are welcome at the BIT-LA Job Fair happening on April 24, 2023. The event will be live through the vFairs virtual event platform and interested participants can register for it here.

Blacks in Technology Los Angeles Chapter aims to introduce the tech industry in Los Angeles to the immense talent in the Black community. They want to help African Americans build a career in technology and promote Black excellence in the field.

62% of the tech companies in LA are owned by white men and 83% are run by white male executives. 67% of these companies employ less than 5% black employees, less than 3% black women, and 2.7% black executives. The job fair aims to change this recruitment trend and introduce an African American pool of talent to recruiters in the tech industry.

The event will feature more than 75 employers in the virtual exhibit hall looking for professional and passionate new talent. Available jobs include software programmers, web & QA, technicians, IT support professionals, cybersecurity and system engineers, and many more!

“We are excited about presenting this job fair with vFairs. We are equally excited about impacting change in L.A.’s tech world. Join us for one of the most exciting events in L.A.’s tech space this year!” commented Omari Bakri, BIT-LA Chapter President.

“vFairs is proud to partner with BIT’s LA Chapter for hosting an important event for LA’s African American community. I am proud that we offer support and technology for inclusive events all over the world,” said Muhammad Younas, CEO of vFairs.

The job fair is all set to happen on April 24, 2023 and interested participants can join here.
