NIHR BioResource announces virtual Scientific Conference 2023 to be held on 28 June with vFairs as Technology Partner

The virtual Scientific Conference will help academic, industry, and NHS health researchers understand the NIHR BioResource services.

Cambridge, UK – National Institute for Health and Care Research NIHR BioResource has announced its first-ever virtual Scientific Conference to be held on Wednesday 28 June 2023, from 9:30am to 12:30pm. This conference is open to anyone but primarily aimed at academic, industry, and NHS translational health researchers working on experimental medicine and early-phase clinical trials looking to access genetic and clinical data, biological samples, and participant recall by genotype and/or phenotype.

Six research partners from multiple disease areas will present the work they have conducted with BioResource support. BioResource has to date supported more than 340 research publications since 2009 and provided 1,230,000 samples. There are more than 250,0000 volunteers signed up to take part in research via NIHR BioResource.

Along with the speakers below, NIHR BioResource co-Chair Prof. Patrick Chinnery will provide an introduction to BioResource and closing remarks from Director Dr. Nathalie Kingston.

”We are incredibly excited to host our first Scientific Conference and showcase such a wide range of research made possible using NIHR BioResource infrastructure. We intend to make this an annual conference and are incredibly grateful to speakers and attendees who join us for this inaugural edition on June 28, 2023,” said Dr. Nathalie Kingston, NIHR BioResource Director.

“Virtual scientific conferences like NIHR BioResource’s can prove to be really useful for the healthcare industry. With vFairs, we’re happy to have helped NIHR BioResource set up its conference registration and the virtual event platform for its webinars. We are positive that this event will help them reach more researchers, and educate them about the potential of their services,” said Muhammad Younas, CEO of vFairs.
